I am primarily a self-taught artist who was born in the Yakima Valley in Washington State. Growing up in the countryside, and exploring an open environment, fashioned an open mind, and a desire to dream. The line of Vincent Van Gough, and the light of the Impressionists, represent some of the influences contributing towards my creative development.
Painting in watercolor, my primary themes are decorative still lifes, either as individual pieces, or painted in pairs. The arranging and lighting of subjects allows me free reign in the design, or "guts" of a painting. I develop values and atmosphere through layers of harmonious color, followed by expressive strokes of drybrushed line to communicate form, texture, and energy.
Having worked with digital media since 2008, I'm also interested in creating digital images that reflect my interest in progressing.
